On August 2nd I will be beginning a cross country bicycle tour from my hometown of Petaluma near the coast of California to New York City to raise money and awareness for Lou Gehrig's disease.

I am dedicating the journey to the memory of my uncle, John Ramatici, who was an avid cyclist and who succumbed to ALS in 2007. The trip will be around 3,500 miles and take approximately 70 days to complete. I plan to stop with ALS Associations along the route to assist in efforts to raise support for the disease.

The journey is a personal challenge to me, a way to see our vast country, and most importantly give back to those so unfortunately afflicted by ALS who need much support.

You can follow my journey on a special website that I have created to capture my travels and experiences.

It is my hope that my efforts will inspire you to donate to the cause of eradicating ALS and supporting families directly affected by the disease. Thank you very much.
