I am Lou                                       My name is Mike Bougher My name is Mike Bougher.  I have been the lucky husband of Jen for the last 16 years.  I am the proud father of Ashlyn, and grandfather to twins Aaron and Issac.   I was a process control system estimator/designer/project manager.  I was diagnosed with ALS in July of 1998 at the age of 34. I saw how precious it was to exist as a human being, and I realized that I am not my body.   My true essence can't be touched by any motor neurons or atrophy of the muscles. After several intense discussions with my amazing wife Jen, she convinced me that she would rather care for me than lose me so soon.  "Reality is not solid.  The world is unique to each of us in the way we perceive, process and respond to it."  It is nearly 10 years since my diagnosis of ALS.  I am living the most abundant, joy-filled life I could have ever experienced.  Send Mike a Message!
